Gabriel is a specialist in derivatives and structuring with more than twenty years of international experience.
He started out as a trader at Deutsche Bank where he also held sales and structuring positions, becoming co-head of the Iberian, UK and Irish markets. After 6 years at Deutsche Bank, he moved to Milan to work for TradingLab, part of the Unicredito group, as head of structuring and sales for the Spanish and Portuguese markets. Back in Spain he was responsible for the equity derivatives and investment funds desk at Credit Agricole for 5 years, taking the group to the second position in the Spanish market. After Credit Agricole he worked for the EFG group as head of the Iberian and Latin American market from Zurich and Monaco, helping in the birth and subsequent Leonteq’s IPO.
His entrepreneurial vision has led him to invest and be a Business Angel in more than 20 start-up’s in the last 10 years, in areas ranging from biotech to blockchain.
He is the founder and CEO of Gabriel Carrillo Capel EAF SL, the Financial Advisory Company # 147, regulated by the Spanish National Securities Market Commission (CNMV). Helping corporates to raise funds issuing Security Tokens within the Crypto Space.
He has taught at the IEB the derivatives course and finance at the BBVA Moraleja’s school of finance. He speaks 4 languages, has a degree in Economics and Business Studies from the University of Valencia and La Sapienza in Rome and is a winner of the MEFF scholarship programme.
